Before You Register
TEST SELECTION
The PLACE tests are conducted in morning and afternoon test sessions, each of which is four and one-half hours in length. The morning session has a reporting time of 7:30 a.m. and ends at approximately 12:30 p.m. The afternoon session has a reporting time of 1:00 p.m. and ends at approximately 6:00 p.m.
You may register for no more than two tests at an administration. One test may be taken per session. Session requests cannot be honored because of specific session assignments for some tests. You may register for the same test only once at a given administration.
Unless otherwise noted, tests may be assigned to either the morning or the afternoon session.
The following table lists all PLACE tests and provides the following information:

Approved Graphing Calculators

Examinees taking the Mathematics (04) test must bring their own graphing calculator but may not bring a calculator manual. Graphing calculators will not be provided at the test administration. Only the brands and models listed below may be used. Approved calculator brands and models are subject to change; if there is a change, examinees will be notified. Test administration staff will clear the memory of your calculator both before and after testing. Therefore, be sure to back up the memory on your calculator, including applications, to an external device before arriving at the test site.
